One of the more experienced and versatile musicians of the New York jazz world, bassist and multi-instrumentalist Lindsey Horner will team up with long-time collaborator and NYC ex-pat Chris Cunningham on guitars as well as legendary local drummer/percussionist Greg Schutte for one night of deep grooves and eclectic virtuosity at the Black Dog in Lowertown, St. Paul. Horner has collaborated and recorded such jazz luminaries as Bill Frisell, Don Byron, Bobby Previte, and Muhal Richard Abrams. Cunningham’s time in New York led to much work with The Lounge Lizards, John Zorn, The Contortions, Marianne Faithfull, The Golden Paliminos, and many others. Schutte has worked with and produced many well-known local and international artists, such as Chastity Brown, Jelloslave, Ryan Bingham, and Mickey Hart. Cunningham and Schutte also serve as the rhythmic backbone of the 10-piece ensemble Fall of the House of Usher (FOTHOU).
